In a nutshell: Discipleship & Land Surveying
- Have conducted a land survey of the AIC property to prepare us for breaking ground (expected end of July/beginning August) of the fields and buildings. Still in the process of finalizing all of the details for the track and field.
-Began discipleship meetings with the 12 guys. Took some of them to a professional soccer game this past wkend. And some others to the World Championship Trials in running this next week. Definitely a great time getting to know the guys & their families.
-Trishia will begin a women's bible study this upcoming Thursday. Is continuing to form deeper relationships with the women.
-Will be taking the guys into the slums of the surrounding areas forming relationships with the people.
-Continuing to search for a more permanent housing in Ngong. For now, we are settled in the community of BulBul. For those of you who have Facebook, we have been able to post pics of some of the kids. Because of internet service, we have been unable to get our pics to post on our blog. hopefully, sooner than later we can post some for you to experience this beautiful land and people.
-Next week our friends, Lesley & Michael Stevens arrive from the States (http://stevensinkenya.com), moving about 10 minutes away. Be praying for their transition as they move to Kenya. We are so excited to greet them here!
