Praises Amidst the Difficulties.

Prayer for Housing:
With a phone call check secured to our new "landlord", our bags loaded and dropped off at our new "home", we were welcomed by a full house, with all the family still living inside. To save on a really long story, we no longer will be staying in the compound that we intended. We are now blessed by a temporary place for this month in a subarea, outside of Ngong, called BulBul. A christian man manages the guest house and he has been a great asset as we have utilized his many resources of connections in the area. This blessing though is temporary so we have been walking the streets of Ngong to find the place where God has for us. A lot different than apartment searching in the states. You just walk on up to a "To Let" sign, call them up and start negotiating. Be praying for the place that God has before us- one inviting for visitors, a safe haven for the brokenhearted, hostel for those God sees fit, resting ground as we recoup from the strides of life here. In faith, we know that God has it all figured out. We are just trusting him to place us when He is ready. In the meantime, we are loving on some precious little ones in BulBul. Pray for how God will use us in this community as well.

Prayer for this week:
Brett will be launching the leaders meeting on Monday, the 13th as he casts the vision for Vapor here in Ngong. He has invited 12 men who we have observed their leadership in the community and spent time investing in relationships with them. Continue praying for how God will speak to these men and that the discipleship will strengthen their faith and their relationships with Him.

Praise:
Marshall & Daniel spent about 3 weeks with us during these initial stages of the Ngong Vapor Center- We greatly valued their presence here with us and their immense willingness to sacrifice their time and their efforts to aid us in expanding our territory in Ngong. Skilled in running, they ran very strongly with the Kenyan runners. Daniel was a great tool for us to connect with Paul Tergat’s running group. We met them on the starting line the other day & Daniel’s highlight was being able to stay the pace beside Paul Tergat for about 30 min. The runners were definitely impressed by his skills & he was able to spread Vapor’s name to many. Because of their presence, we have many mtgs. scheduled with the athletes and potentially have seen some of our leaders surface from the group.
